Re-inspections
Should we have the property re-inspected after repairs and corrections have been made?
Not necessarily. Deciding whether or not to have your home re-inspected may depend on a number of factors.
Many repairs and corrections can be confirmed by simply observing the areas or items in question; and some work can be verified by seeing receipts from the licensed professionals that completed the work.
In many instances however, you will want to have independent verification that work you have requested has been completed; especially in areas that are not readily accessible to you. This becomes more important if you are not familiar with the person or firm that performed the work. In these situations you should consider ordering a re-inspection.
At your request, we will schedule a return trip to the property, examine the areas and items you specify, and provide a written addendum to the original Inspection Report. The addendum will identify the work and conditions we observe in the areas we re-inspect, and will include our recommendation for further attention, repair, or correction; if deemed necessary.
Most re-inspections and addendums provide the added security and peace of mind that our clients want; and the cost is nominal.
