Partial Inspections

Partial inspections are normally performed when adverse conditions or damage are suspected. These may include moisture conditions in unconditioned areas such as the crawlspace or attic, excessive drafts at doors or windows, or excessive wall or ceiling cracks, among others. The partial inspection may disclose an easily corrected condition, or may disclose the need for further examination by a licensed professional in another field. In fact, if the suspected problem exists in a technical or specialized area such as an electrical system or device, a built-in appliance, the central heating cabinet, etc. we will most likely recommend that you do not engage our services, but contact a licensed professional in the appropriate field.

Partial inspections should rarely be considered in place of a full standard inspection if you are buying or selling a property. There are instances when a specific concern may be the only area where an inspection is desired, but for the relatively low difference in cost, a full inspection is almost always the most prudent course to follow.

As with any questions or concerns, we will be happy to discuss any of these areas by telephone, as a courtesy.
